New electrical system, new plumbing, new...windows, doors, insulation, HVAC.... you get the idea. Through the "studs out demo" and total rebuild, we had the privilege of redesigning the second floor to bring modern touches to a classic farmhouse. We also added 300 sqft of living space by adding a half bath off of the breakfast bar and a nice size flex room adjacent to the kitchen. And by converting an enclosed porch, we were able to expand the kitchen, allowing us to rearrange the space and set up a hibachi style stove and bar arrangement. When we first saw the pocket doors, we knew we loved the endless possibilities they provided and knew we had to retain and restore them! Whether closed to partition the space into individual areas or slid open to provide the entire first floor with a generous open concept, the possibilities are astounding!I could go on and on about the love and care we put into this project for the last two and a half years, and delve into all of the blood sweat and tears involved, but instead let me simply say we are so excited to pass on this beautiful custom home and are so proud of its uniqueness, personality, and heritage.
