Shaped like a miniature Maryland, and located in the central part of the state, Washington County is the gateway to western Maryland. Located only 70 miles from both Baltimore and Washington DC; Washington County is always a place to find houses for sale, farms or beautiful pieces of land. Equally impressive is the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historic Park. You can hike to Black Rock or High Rock for impressive views of the valley or visit some of the many historic boroughs like Boonsboro, Clear Spring, Hancock, Sharpsburg, Smithsburg, and Williamsport.



Town of Clear Spring

Clear Spring, Maryland is an hour from DC and Baltimore. A rural community located at the eastern base of Fairview Mountain, with easy access to the interstate. You’re just a commute away from one of the metropolitan areas close by, but at the end of the day, you can relax in a small town that is quiet and carefree. Town of Sharpsburg

It is a town deep in history. From the early days of George Washington looking at it and its close proximately to Shepherdstown to be the Nation’s First Capital to the building of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal. Sharpsburg is most notable recognized for being the site for the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest day in Civil War History.  It is now home to the Antietam Battlefield National Park and the Antietam National Cemetery. The Town of Sharpsburg Host a Memorial Day Parade Each year and of course, the annual wreath laying at Christmas at the National Cemetery. Sharpsburg is a small residential community, with few commercial activities. It looks very much as it did in the 1800s. The people of Sharpsburg are content with that – they are proud of their history and heritage. There is a wide variety of homes throughout the area from single family homes on ½ acre to several acres.  One of our experienced agents will be able to assist you with your search.

Town of Williamsport

The Town of Williamsport is situated along the Potomac River and very convenient to I-70 & I-81. It is very rich in history from being a potential site for our Nation’s first capitol and its location made it an inevitable crossroads to battlefields for both the Union and Confederate armies. Troops from both sides were ferried across the Potomac. The Union army occupied Springfield Farm as a campsite, erected a signal tower and chopped down many of the estates fine trees.



The C&O Canal is a vital part of the Town of Williamsport. The canal towpath is excellent for cycling, running, walking and other recreational activities. The C&O Canal through Williamsport is home to many historical features such as Lock 44, The Lift Bridge, and the Conococheague Aqueduct. These features are modeled in the 1920’s era and Williamsport is the only location along the canal with all three of these historic features.

Williamsport’s close proximity to the interstate make it a great commuter location but it keeps that small town feel with its quaint restaurants, boutiques, and shops. You will stay busy doing all the outdoor activities it has to offer with its Little League Field's, Pool and Bryon Memorial Park.
