Fulton County, located in south-central Pennsylvania, was founded in 1850 when a state Senator who was initially opposed to separating Fulton County from Bedford County agreed to change his vote if he was allowed to name the County. The name originally being considered was Liberty, but the Senator proposed that the county be named Fulton after inventor and Pennsylvania native Robert Fulton. They are proud of their rural heritage and the natural beauty that surrounds our 435 square miles. It is convenient to I-70 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Warfordsburg, Crystal Springs, Needmore, Big Cove Tannery and McConnellsburg all are small communities throughout Fulton County.  

McConnellsburg is the county seat of Fulton County and has 144 structures on the National Historic Society. From taverns, stores and homes it has much for you to see and do. Oshkosh is one of its’ major employers of Fulton County. 



There are plenty of outdoor activities to do in Fulton County, PA. The Great Cove Golf Course with rolling hills and peaceful country atmosphere is readily available for the avid golfer. Check out the Historic Burnt Grist Mill, the Frontier Barn Quilt Trail, the Pike 2 Bike, and Cowans Gap State Park. 

Fulton County and the small communities consist of single-family homes. Some homes are in areas that have public utilities are available.
